Interview - Sabrina Gangini

Jolana Jandová conducted a short interview with Sabrina Gangini, Communication and Marketing manager of Eurochiller S.r.l.

What are the restrictions for people and how the ordinary life has changed during this pandemia? Could you please describe the situation in Italy and then also in Eurochiller – what rules do you have to follow?

These months were a challenge for everyone: The pandemic has hit the whole world and dealt a severe blow to even the most solid economies. The second wave which is afflicting Europe has reached Italy a little bit later than the rest of the countries. We are actually in a selected lock-down phase as the Government rightly decided to reduce activities and movements also in those (red) countries were the pandemic returned more aggresively. Nevertheless the actual lock-down is quite different from the one we went through in march as today also into red regions all companies and factories are active. We as Eurochiller are into a red area but our activities never stopped and we are fully operative with all the precautions in act to safeguard the health of all people at work. Disinfection, masks, temperature detection and social distancing are applied throughout the company and all people are demanded to work respecting them to safeguard everyone’s health.

Do you have to fire employees from work?

The staff is working at full capacity. Our production is booked till the end of the year and we ALREADY have a good portfolio for the first quarter of 2021.

Is the production the same in comparison to last year?

It is not possible to make any comparison if by the question you mean production volume of 2020 vs 2019. Comparison is not applicable as the impact of Covid has no historic background and makes whatever comparison totally inapplicable. Our production, as we said before, is totally booked and this is a great, not to say excellent result for the period.

Do you focus on production of something new?

We are always inclined to improve our products. Focus today is to align production to tier 2 of Eco-Design directive which will be in force from 01.01.2021.

Do your clients have some special requirements?

Eurochiller is a customer-oriented company. Many of our supplies point to satisfy specific demands with “ad-hoc” projects. We receive quite often specific requests and are ready and prepared to clear them with the solution which mostly suits our customers’ needs.

Do you plan to produce some new machine?

In January we will release the new evolution of our well-known GC line which will be more flexible in application and performing. Of course the line will be coping with the new Eco-Design requirements above.
